I thought this should be my first post because my blog kanudigital.com was hosted at blogger blog. I have wrote more than 300 posts and most of the posts are indexed by search engines like google (i’ve getting pretty good visitors from google). For 6 months, i have wasted my time for blogging. I have more than 150 subscribers by feedburner. Everything was cool and nice untill I got the mail from blogger, says your blog deleted because of spam. I have appealed via blogger forum, directly sent mail to blogger and waited for 3-4 weeks but no use. I’ve lost all of my posts, comments and ofcourse my daily visitors. That time I don’t know how to backup my blog. I have searched whole internet about backing up blog for everyone who is using blogger blog. Not only me tomorrow your blog also may get deleted, because blogger uses some robots to check blogs and simply deletes your blog for some reason. If your blog deleted, restoring your blog is not easy, there is only 1% of chance i think. So backup your blog(s) before blogger robot mark your blog and get deleted. There is three ways for backing up your blog,

First one (This is for users those already deleted their blog)

If your blog has lots of posts and indexed by google you can backup your posts by saving your posts by saving google’s cached page. Let me explain how it works. First search your blogger name with google.com

Now click on show more results from www.yourblog.blogspot.com

backup blogger blog by google cached page

If your blog highly indexed by google you should get most of the pages from this link. Now click on “cached” link.

You should get this page like this

Now simply copy the content and save it to MSword / Notepad.

Second One (This trick is for those their blog still alive)

Log into blogger draft here. Its same as blogger dashboard. Click on the settings tab of your blog which you want to backup. Now you will see a page like below.

Now click on export blog, then you should see a page like below picture.

Now simply click on download blog tab. you will get your blog as an atom file. you can later import to your new blog if your old blog get deleted.

Third One (This is so simple and most recommended)

Now you can get a small tool called blogger backup utility. The Blogger Backup utility is intended to be a simple utility to backup to local disk your Blogger posts. Using the GData C# Library, the utility will walk backward in time, from your latest post to your last, saving each post to a local Atom/XML file. Here is the homepage of blogger back up utility. Download page can be found here

Simply install it and download all of your blogs/ blog posts, and ofcourse comments to your hard drive. Any doubts? simply leave a comment!!!
